Samsung Increases Sales Target 15%

SEOUL - Samsung is getting serious for the smart phone market climbed to number one. Even next year, the South Korean vendors are targeting can increase sales up 15 percent from the year 2011.

As is known, the Samsung is very ambitious for Nokia as ruler overthrew one of the world's mobile phone number. Especially after the gulf in the two rivals were getting shorter. In the smart phone market, Samsung is not confronted with Nokia, but Apple.

As is known, the iPhone became the number one mobile phone during the months of July and September. Samsung itself, deserves grateful for shipping Galaxy S, Android-based smartphones, which allows the company to compete with Apple. Thus was launched the Straits Times, Wednesday (28/12/2011).

Currently, Samsung is still the number two mobile phone vendor in the world, the company's target is able to sell 374 million handsets, up 15 percent from 325 million handsets were sold during the year 2011.

While Samsung's closest competitor, namely Nokia, predicted by some analysts are only able to increase 5 percent of handset sales in 2011.
